There has been a lot of interest lately in low carb hay, usually for horses, and for good reason.  This page is to help owners educate themselves on how they can help keep their horses healthier.  Please read through some of the attached articles then feel free to browse through our previous Forage Results.  Over the years we've been testing Non-Structural Carbohydrate (NSC) levels sporadically when we were asked to.  Starting in 2018, most or all of our forage tests include NSC levels.  Almost all of our hay falls into the "Less than 10%" NSC range which is the most safe feed for overweight, inactive, or metabolically sensitive horses.
